GTA VI pre-orders are open

A date worth circling

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and pre-orders are now open at participating retailers. The announcement includes full details on the available editions, the pre-order bonus and the key dates leading up to launch.

Rockstar describes the game as set in the modern-day state of Leonida, returning to Vice City with a dual-protagonist story, a new generation of detailed cars, characters and gameplay, and what the studio calls its biggest and most immersive open world to date.

Which edition should you choose?

GTA VI will be available in Standard and Ultimate Edition. Both editions include the full game, and every pre-order adds the Vintage Vice City Pack. The Ultimate Edition adds a digital upgrade with items such as the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, the Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers and Vice City Styles, plus locations and businesses tied to Jason and Lucia’s story.

Rockstar says Standard Edition owners can buy that upgrade later, including players who buy the physical version and redeem its download code.

Both editions include the full game; Ultimate adds extra content.

What the pre-order bonus includes

All pre-orders include the Vintage Vice City Pack, a selection of in-game content inspired by Vice City’s past: a ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern. Rockstar lists the pack for physical pre-orders as well as digital ones, and says digital purchases made before November 20, 2026 also include one month of GTA+ membership.

With new outfits, vehicles and more, the Vintage Vice City Pack is a nod to the series’ Vice City legacy — one Rockstar has framed as a thank-you to the players who have followed the series.
