Overview

Showdown first, then the International Cup: India’s BGMI route to PMGC runs apart from the global PUBG MOBILE points ladder.

For Indian BGMI teams, a place at PMGC is tied to Krafton’s domestic and international circuit. India is excluded from the PMGC points ladder used by most PUBG MOBILE regions, so a strong PMGO points total elsewhere does not explain India’s places.

Two events make up that circuit: Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) and the Battlegrounds Mobile India International Cup (BMIC). Showdown carries India’s direct place. The International Cup brings Indian, Korean and Japanese teams into one field with further PMGC places at stake.

Win Showdown.

The current event allocation sends the BMSD champion to PMGC’s Gauntlet, and Krafton’s announcement confirms that the top six progress to BMIC. A high finish at a different BGMI tournament does not, by itself, establish the same entitlement.

Then watch the International Cup.

BMIC’s current allocation lists a Gauntlet place for the champion and a Group Stage place for the runner-up. With three nations in the field, those places do not simply go to the top two Indian teams.

A second ticket is not simply duplicated.

A team can reach BMIC with an existing PMGC place. The BMSD champion is one example; Korean or Japanese qualifiers may also arrive with a route already secured. That creates questions about upgrades, duplicate qualification and which eligible team receives a vacated allocation.

If the BMSD champion also wins BMIC, the published scenario transfers the BMIC Gauntlet place to the runner-up. The Group Stage place then goes to the next best eligible team, excluding the PMPS Season 2 and PMJL Phase 2 champions. If one of those Korean or Japanese champions earns a Gauntlet upgrade, its domestic Group Stage place can pass down. That is why eligibility has to be checked alongside the final table.

PMGC comes after the India circuit.

PMGC is listed for Türkiye in November–December, with a $3 million prize pool. The final venue and complete dates remain pending. BMSD and BMIC finish earlier, making their results the first checkpoints for fans following the India-linked places.

For an Indian team there are two ways in: win Showdown for the direct Gauntlet place, or earn an eligible International Cup finish. The BMIC allocation must be applied to the whole field, including Korean and Japanese teams already qualified through their domestic circuits.
